On the subject of DRM (I can't be bothered commenting on both posts, sorry), from the same article: "Bezos explains that it's only fair to charge less for e-books because you can't give them as gifts, and due to restrictive antipiracy software, you can't lend them out or resell them." Not much detail there, other than, yes, there is DRM. The way I read it, it implies it's also impossible to put your own PDFs onto Kimble; score one for Sony (how often does anyone say that these days?)
