Why doesn’t Apple use iCal for Store events?

Here’s a thing that’s been bugging me for a while: Apple doesn’t allow you to simply subscribe to an iCal for events at the London Regent’s Street Apple Store. If you go to the events page for the Store, you can see them all or download a PDF, but no link to a calendar you can subscribe to.

What gives, Apple? Surely this is a simple example of how you could use your own technology?

They certainly used to, and the feed address I have in iCal – webcal://ical.mac.com/ical/Regent32Street.ics – still seems to work. I switched it off, though; it contains every “introduction to $product” session, so it’s so chatty as to be useless.
