Via Digg, some awesome Photos of the 1993 $499 PowerCD. Seems odd that Apple Corps didn’t try to sue them then – surely this was a music device too?

    I so wanted one of these when they first came out. I begged for one for my birthday, but got the tray-loading one instead.

    (I was 24, I probably should have just bought one myself)
