Agents’ visit chills UMass Dartmouth senior

From SouthCoastToday:

A senior at UMass Dartmouth was visited by federal agents two months ago, after he requested a copy of Mao Tse-Tung’s tome on Communism called “The Little Red Book.” Two history professors at UMass Dartmouth, Brian Glyn Williams and Robert Pontbriand, said the student told them he requested the book through the UMass Dartmouth library’s interlibrary loan program. The student, who was completing a research paper on Communism for Professor Pontbriand’s class on fascism and totalitarianism, filled out a form for the request, leaving his name, address, phone number and Social Security number. He was later visited at his parents’ home in New Bedford by two agents of the Department of Homeland Security, the professors said. The professors said the student was told by the agents that the book is on a “watch list,” and that his background, which included significant time abroad, triggered them to investigate the student further.

At least the TSA is doing their job. Now, if they would only start racially profiling Middle Eastern/Islamic people, we’d all be a little safer.

A criminal administration is a vexation to the American way of life. We have a powerful way of living in an open society which allows Americans an open forum to read discuss and aquire thr best parts of all that surrounds them. The very foundation of this culture is freedom. The criminals who currently occupy the halls of government have consistently lied, cheated, and stolen electons by any means necessary. Using the money behind them from the interest of powerful multinational business and crimianl organizations whos very existence can be threatened by an increase of the awarness of thier presence, through the free exchange of information and ideas, by raising the publics knowledge of their corrupt agenda. While most Americans have less today and the promise of much less tomorrow, these polititions are making money on oil and bombs and medicne, and care not a bit that thier actions are the destabilizing factor which may lead to the destruction of the environment and the chaos that it will create, producing the very problems they are ‘solving. I ask you this… Where is Jack Anderson when we need him? Why does not the sixties and seventies generation rise up and crush these fools who feel impune to castigation and who exude contempt for the rule of law and for the American citizen he is suposed to represent? And lastly, who reads this, will you just flip the channel and watch the garbage and lies fed to you by the media? Or will you find yourself asking a lot of questions of the leaders you elected? Make them accountable and make them transparent to truth. Secrets are kept to hide lies. These compromised polititions have a city full of lies to hide. What is the generation that’s coming up going to do when they don’t have a country…? I have to go now. I have to get back to picking my nose.

There is plenty of reason to doubt that this story is in fact true.
