Sky gets into broadband

Filling in the hole in its services, BSkyB is set to buy ISP Easynet for around £211 million. This gives BSkyB the infrastructure to launch a classic “triple play” – voice, video, and Internet over broadband. I’d expect them to move quickly on this. With BT targetting a release sometime next year for its Broadband TV service, BSkyB couldn’t afford to be left behind.
