Greg Hughes has been documenting his initial experiences with a ThinkPad X41 Tablet PC and doing a great job of it. It sounds like IBM Lenovo (or is it Lenovo IBM?) has watched the market and come out with a machine that’s first and foremost a great laptop, and secondly a great tablet – reflecting the way that people actually use the convertable form factor (I probably use my Acer C111 as a regular latop 80–90% of the time, switching to tablet mode when drawing, reading or using it as an adjunct to a desktop computer.)
I particularly liked Greg’s note here:
By the way – just to be clear – in my original post I said I have received this Tablet for “evaluation and testing.” This is a purchased computer, one we are checking out for use at work. I just wanted to be sure to explain that no one sent a free one and I am only blogging about it because I think it’s pretty nifty and sweet.
I’d just like to note that if anyone at Lenovo/IBM wants to send me an X41 to evaluate, I’ll be more than happy to do so
.
