Jobs interview fun

Andy Ihnatko has a great account of how he nearly snaffled and interview with Steve Jobs.

Incidentally, if you’re not reading Andy’s stuff, you should be – he’s one of the most entertaining tech writers around. My only beef is that his RSS feed isn’t full text, so I can’t read it in my newsreader!

    Ian, doesn’t that defeat the point of an RSS feed? Maybe I’ve been approaching it wrong, but I always took an RSS feed as a way of finding out when something’s been updated – and then reading the whole article on the website.

    Duplicating an entire site in RSS seems to be a waste of resources to me.

    There are lots of advantages to using a full-text RSS feed. The first is that it can be read offline – when I used to commute, being able to pick up the entire article and read it on the train was great fun. Second is that it divorces your content from your design, which means that if you have a bad design no one will know :)
