Pop up ad delivers security hole

An excellent piece from Joe Wilcox about how the Qhosts trojan means Microsoft must revive IE development. Qhosts is a very evil little trojan that uses a pop up ad to reconfigure the DNS’ that IE uses to access sites – the point being that the hacker could then redirect you to a faked version of a site, that could simply harvest your user names and passwords.
