Netflix Fanatic

Netflix Fanatic is a little application that allows users to manage their Netflix DVD queue. Nothing spectacular or groundbreaking, but very handy for those who subscribe to Netflix. Or at least, it was – until the employer of its author used their employment contract terms to seize the application from them, and withdraw it. The author is convinced this violates Section 2870 of the Californian Labor Code, which, if the development was carried out on his own time and equipment, it clearly is.
The interesting thing is that, according to several posts on MacSlash, the employer is Apple. And, indeed, a quick Google provides confirmation of that. Ironically, of course, if HP had felt the same way, there would be no Mac – Steve Wozniak having been an HP employee when he invented the Apple I.
